Reflection – A short poem

10 August, 2006

Reflection

Here’s a little something for thought best read on a spoken word tip, when I get some spare time at work I like to jot down some of my ideas. Usually a lyrical outlet seems to be the best method for me for relaxation.

Keep on…

A breeze rushes from East to West

While people try trouble, to ease their stress

Relieve me from this test!

Was the out burst of someone wondering, why?

-My words do not materialise into actions

-This life does not give me simple answers

Ruthlessly bamboozled

But believe me there’s hope

Believe in what I believe, and there’s a way to cope

A mind state, which is grateful, gives insight

A mind state, which is grateful, gives comfort

Keep on looking for your inspiration

Focus the soul’s lens to your kind of devotion

Keep on searching for meaning

Our limits are not confined to a ceiling

A small child wonders which road to cross to go to school

An old man remembers a time when he wasn’t called a fool

Jewels remain hidden

While the threads of veils, are always spinning

To form a disguise

Casting a shadow

But when detaching ourselves all we will see is the light

Not just to the abstract I refer

High school students,

To Bankers counting units

Can grasp the feeling of moral gratification

How you categorise what is moral?

Though, this could form an ocean of a dissertation

Keep on looking for your inspiration

Focus the soul’s lens to your kind of devotion

Keep on searching for meaning

Our limits are not confined to a ceiling…

~Peace~
